Seipasa expands its biopesticide production plant in Valencia

Seipasa, a Spanish company specialized in the development and formulation of bioinsecticides, biofungicides, and biostimulants for agriculture has expanded its biopesticide production plant in l'Alcúdia, Valencia.

The facility has 2,000 new m² annexed to the current manufacturing facilities which are devoted to formulation, production, packaging, and product logistics. With them, the company aims to respond to increased demand in key markets such as Spain, Mexico, LATAM, and the US, among others.

The new plant, which has been in operation for several months, is designed with state-of-the-art equipment and technology to optimize the manufacturing process and make it even more sustainable.

Leading the biological protection market
Francisco Espinosa, Seipasa's R&D&I director, highlighted the value of the plant's expansion, the second major one in just three years, after the one undertaken in 2018.

"This is allowing us to continue growing and leading the biological crop protection market. Mexico, Latin America, and the United States are territories in which Seipasa Natural Technology is growing and gaining a stronger foothold. The new plant is giving us the means to meet the growing demand and strengthen our leadership," said Espinosa.

Seipasa's R&D&I director also said that "the company's Natural Technology model places sustainability and knowledge-based agriculture at the center of everything", and added that the new facility "represents a step forward in that sense."

"Growing represents an opportunity to improve in all areas, and at Seipasa we know how to do it in a sustainable, rational and humane way. The new plant is improving our productivity and responsiveness, but also helping us be better through cleaner and more efficient manufacturing."

Cutting-edge technology
The new facility, which also manufactures the new Bioactive line launched in Spain last September, features technology that avoids the generation of wastewater and increases production quality and sustainability standards.

New fully robotized packaging lines have also been installed to optimize the entire production process and improve the service offered by the company to its customers.
