The advantages of lithium-ion batteries
Lithium-ion batteries are always charged and ready to use, even on multiple shifts. It only takes 10 minutes for a 24V LTO battery to charge up to 80% and 20 minutes to 100%. Charge and trickle charging technologies, for example during breaks and during spontaneous breaks, ensure continuous machine availability, increasing the flexibility of daily maintenance and harvesting operations.
Never out of power
Lithium-ion batteries offer better performance than lead-acid batteries, due to the greater depth of discharge and the lack of voltage drop as the batteries discharge. "Even at a low charge, a lithium-ion battery can deliver more power than a lead-acid battery. The battery is recharged with every braking, and the high overall efficiency reduces energy waste by up to 20%. In addition, lithium-ion batteries last at least three times longer than acid ones," the team with Walzmatic explains.
