Hoogendoorn Growth Management receives the GSES sustainability certificate during Dutch Trade mission to Dubai

It has been a very good week for Hoogendoorn Growth Management. After winning the Smart Process Control award at the HillenraadTECH50 event in The Netherlands, another milestone was just around the corner, this time in the area of sustainability.

During the Trade Reception of the Dutch Trade Mission to Dubai, Hoogendoorn received the Global Sustainable Enterprise System - Leader in sustainability ratings & corporate governance sustainability certificate. The company achieved an A-rating for sustainability, and this result shows that the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy plays an important role in the company.

Hoogendoorn has received this certificate based on 5 pillars of sustainability;

 - Sustainable Procurement (aligned with ISO 20400)

 - CO2 & Carbon Reduction (aligned with ISO 50001)

 - Health & Safety (aligned with ISO 45001)

 - Circular Economy (aligned with BS 8001)

Angela Barendregt, Project Manager International Business & Strategy, and Fouad Ababou, Area Sales Manager of Hoogendoorn, were also present at the livestream of the Transparency House - Powered by GSES-System & Data-for-Good, Expo 2020 Dubai edition at the Dutch Pavilion earlier this week.

During this livestream, where Angela also acted as the co-host, they explained to the world what Hoogendoorn Growth Management stands for in terms of sustainability and innovation. The goal of The Transparency House is to become more aware that we need to be more careful with our earth, not only for us, but especially for the next generations to come. With the new IIVO system, the smartest process computer they have ever built, Hoogendoorn has made steps to contribute to this. With this new system, a grower anywhere in the world can reduce the use of all natural sources of energy without compromising on the quality of the crop.

Angela Barendregt; “Sustainability, transparency, and breakthrough innovations are the golden medal for the future. Therefore I am proud that Hoogendoorn received an A-ranking according to GSES. Besides that, we produce the most sustainable and innovative process computer of the world according to the Hillenraad.”

Area Sales Manager Fouad Ababou focuses mostly on projects in the Middle East. He is especially proud that Hoogendoorn, together with its partners and the local growers, can improve the horticulture in this region. He explains; “I am glad that we can help growers in this region with smart process automation so that they can grow in a sustainable way and with software in their language.”
