More modern, brighter, nicer:

New look for Lidl store in Lustenau

On 26.08.2021, Lidl Austria will open its newly designed store at Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Strasse 28, relying on a new store concept: a modern interior design with new colors and clearly arranged shelves ensures a pleasant shopping experience. Furthermore, a fresh assortment with over 2,000 permanently available articles awaits customers. This makes Lidl a real one-stop shop and the main place to go for daily or weekly family shopping.

The entire team around store manager Sabrina Heine is delighted with the new "look". "The store has really turned out great. All our colleagues are thrilled. Even at the entrance, it smells like oven-fresh bread and pastries. A special highlight is the new bread-slicing machine for our customers. We can invite everyone to come by at least once," says the branch manager.

Freshness and variety from Austria
Lidl Austria places the highest value on freshness, quality and origin. The store in Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Strasse also offers a lot of Austria at the lowest Lidl price - such as the domestic quality own brands "Alpengut" and "Wiesentaler" or the multi-award-winning, Austrian organic brand "Ein gutes Stück Heimat". Here, the name says it all: Lidl Austria offsets the CO2 footprint of all products of the organic brand. This makes "Ein gutes Stück Heimat" 100% "climate neutral". Alpengut products contain only the best milk from local dairies - naturally 100% AMA-certified and 100% GMO-free.

A large part of the permanently available fresh pork, beef and chicken assortment is AMA-certified. In total, customers can choose from almost 70 meat and fish products. In the bakery store, fresh bread and pastries are offered several times a day. Customers can choose from around 50 different, mostly Austrian, fresh-from-the-oven items.

Lidl Austria's own brands are backed by well-known Austrian suppliers and producers. Today, more than half of the food sold in the stores comes from domestic suppliers. This amounts to almost 400 million items per year. In addition to the standard range, there are, as usual, weekly special offers in top quality - of course guaranteed at Lidl prices. A brand new addition to the range is the "Meine Feinkost-Theke" (My delicatessen counter) with national and international sausage and cheese specialties.

Sustainability in action
Environmental protection, energy efficiency and sustainability - this is also what the store in Lustenau stands for. An innovative heat pump technology makes it possible to completely dispense with fossil fuels for daily heating requirements. The store is supplied exclusively with CO2-neutral green electricity - just like the three logistics centers and the Salzburg headquarters.

Lidl Austria also takes responsibility when dealing with food: all stores in Austria have a cooperation with one or more social institutions that regularly collect non-saleable food. As part of its Group-wide plastic reduction strategy, Lidl Austria follows a clear approach: avoid, reduce, reuse.
