According to the data prepared by Hortoinfo from the Observatory of Prices and Markets of the Junta de Andalucía, greenhouse green zucchini producers were paid an average of € 0.53/kg for their product in the 2020/21 campaign, i.e. the lowest average of the last five seasons.
The average price of zucchini in the 2016/2017 campaign stood at € 0.74/kg, i.e. 23% higher than this season, and since then it has been falling each season.
This is the average price paid to farmers for category I zucchini upon delivery to the warehouse or trading company, excluding VAT. This price concept does not include any type of costs attributable to the handling and commercialization of the product, nor any commercial commission.
During the last ten campaigns, the highest average price was recorded in 2014/2015, when it stood at € 0.85/kg. The lowest price was € 0.45/kg, and it was recorded in the 2011/2012 and 2013/2014 campaigns.
