Dutch farm gets floating solar farm

Recently 1,030 solar panels were installed at Kwekerij De Noordhoek in the Netherlands. These each has a 415 Wp capacity. What's more, they were placed on a MULTI-F total cover on the farm's water reservoir. This floating solar farm has a total capacity of 427 KWp. Albers Alligator and Centrica Business Solutions built it for this organic farm.

Annually, this MULTI-F Solar system can generate the power needed by, on average, 100 households. In recent years, Albers Alligator, a Dutch company, was regularly asked if it could place solar panels on its MULTI-F. This is a floating total pool cover. Along with Centrica Business Solutions, Albers Alligator considered the possibilities. They developed this into an innovative, working solution - the MULTI-F Solar system.

Dual function reservoir

Albers Alligator found a partner in Kwekerij de Noordhoek' Henk and Kees Verhage. Together they took on the challenge of realizing this first project. In recent weeks, wind, snow, and sun have been weathered to install this remarkable floating solar farm. The reservoir now has an added function. Without the need for additional space, energy is generated.
