Graffiti aubergines now only available via The Greenery

Next season, Van Luijk will be the only Dutch aubergine nursery that will grow the special graffiti aubergine. In the coming years, Van Luijk will increasingly specialize in non-standard aubergines. These will be produced in a three-hectare greenhouse. This farmer's been a member of the Coforta cooperative for many years. Sales are done through The Greenery Growers.

Graffiti aubergines' appearance makes it an eye-catching product. It looks good on store shelves and consumer's plate. This aubergine fits in well with Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. And it's popularity has grown in recent years. Graffiti aubergines, like other aubergine varieties, are low-calorie. But they are high in fiber and vitamins. Their flesh is also quite firm. This makes these fruits a good meal choice for vegetarians. This variety comes in white too.

Next year, these graffiti aubergines will be available from week 12 via The Greenery Growers. The Greenery's various business units have been working with focus since June. The Greenery Growers takes care of Dutch growers' supplies.
