Temperature meter added for extra secured access control

Nowadays, you often can't just walk into a greenhouse or food processing company. First, you have to pass a turnstile or go through a hygiene sluice to get disinfected, and then you can access the company.

LETS has added a new product to their hygiene equipment line: a body temperature meter. This LETS-scan is easily installed on a turnstile or hygiene sluice and ensures extra secured access control.

The LETS-scan installed on access control systems

The LETS-scan has an industrial binocular camera and biometric facial recognition technology. Also, the new tool makes use of an infrared thermal imaging module, explains Gerco Dijkgraaf. "Together, this ensures a very accurate temperature measurement. If a person wears a face mask, this is recognized, and if their body temperature is too high, a warning with a red screen and sound follows."

Add-ons
The LETS-scan can be installed on existing turnstiles or hygiene sluices. It can also be mounted on the turnstile panel (with LETS-scan) or on the LETS-scan itself.

Besides having their temperature measured, all people passing the turnstile or going through the hygiene sluice with scan still have to disinfect their hands and feet. "Furthermore, it is also possible to add features to the scan such as an ID card reader, time registration, a fingerprint reader, and in the future even more options."

Also for greenhouse horticulture
LETS already supplies the system in the food processing industry, where they have had a strong presence as a supplier of hygiene equipment for a long time. With the current developments in greenhouse horticulture, they are also focusing on this market. "We're quite new to this market", says Gerco, "but there are enough opportunities since the growers and businesses in this sector have high demands. With our machines and equipment, including robust and durable crate washing systems, we are happy to assist them."
