Gaia Herbs has had a subsidiary in the Netherlands since 2017 and it has now merged with Via Maris GmbH, one of the largest herb companies in Germany.
Gaia has been a strong, stable herbs supplier in Europe for some time. It’s Dutch branch is very well located, logistically. Now, its ready for the next step. “Together with the knowledge of Via Maris, we’ve built an ultra-modern cooling facility, a new pre-packing plant and a great professional team" says Berto Levy, one of Gaia Herbs’ co-owners and CEOs.
“We want to be closer to the market and offer our clients a wider range of products. We also want to improve our quality control,” says Iris Zarfin, Gaia's other co-owner and CEO. “Now we can ensure the highest quality standards for our clients.” This expanded range includes pre-packed products.
Via Maris is a dominant supplier in north east Germany and is specialized in Herbs, Salads and exotics. it has a wide range of prepacked Products.
“We have been working on it for a long time. Via Maris’s need to grow and break into new markets met Gaia’s need to be closer to the European market.” says Chaim Ochayon. He founded this company eight years ago. Ochayon is now a shareholder and CEO of Gaia Netherlands.
