The lights are on in Switzerland

Light4Food's international activities continue, this time in Switzerland. They exchanged the existing son-t lighting installation with the Philips LED toplighting Compact. This LED fixture can easily replace the existing son-t installation and has a light intensity of 1.800 µmol/s. In addition, LEDs contribute to a uniform climate through the greenhouse as it does not generate as much heath as son-t fixtures do.

Light4Food engineered a uniform lighting plan with the desired light levels for the plants. After mounting, plant specialists stay involved through offering agronomic advice.

The lighting installation covers the whole of the 1.4 hectares automated lettuce greenhouse and enables the grower to grow year round.
