“Virtual event is the next best thing to a live show”

In less than a week, PMA’s virtual Fresh Summit show will be on and excitement is building up. Attendees are curious to find out what exhibitors have in store and many exhibitors are sweating over content creation. Oppy however seems to be up for the challenge. “We are approaching our exhibit with a sense of adventure, says Karin Gardner. “It’s a fun challenge for marketers to make the most of any virtual show, and we believe PMA is doing everything it can to provide that opportunity.”

Gardner has taken a sneak peek at the platform and believes it promises to be unique and interactive. “While you can’t duplicate a ‘live’ show per se, we applaud PMA’s efforts to deliver the next best thing. We are invested in making it a worthwhile experience for the Oppy team and those who visit our marketplace location.” The company will be showcasing the full assortment of produce they grow, and attendees can expect to hear some special news along the way as well.

In addition to exhibiting in the Produce Marketplace, Oppy is honored to be one of the presenting sponsors for this year’s Fresh Summit. “We know PMA is working very hard to make the event valuable and meaningful for all participants,” mentioned Gardner. “We are grateful to be in a position to support that mission, as Fresh Summit remains an important part of Oppy’s marketing strategy.”

When asked about the goals for this year’s event, Gardner said the team at Oppy is looking forward to showcasing Oppy’s product line, featuring key brands Zespri, JAZZ, Envy, Ocean Spray and more, while connecting with industry friends, and engaging with all levels of the supply chain. “We also aim to bring ‘home’ key learnings from the robust schedule of Fresh Summit educational sessions.”

“As well, the virtual nature of the event provides the opportunity for many at Oppy to attend – some who may not have had the chance otherwise,” Gardner noted. “It’s a neat way for people to experience Fresh Summit right from their desk, and get a flavor for everything such an industry event has to offer. The more time I spend on the Fresh Summit platform, the more excited I become about participating in the show.”
