The No. 1 Primary School of Wuning in Dongyang City organized a festive ceremony in the school yard in the morning of September 28, 2020. The festive ceremony officially opened a sports competition. Nearly 2,000 students dressed up as various "fruits and vegetables" and joined in a brightly-colored parade. Some of the parents dressed up in raincoats, carried large sacks, and pushed wheelbarrows to add even more excitement to the ceremony.
The children were dressed up as seeds, sprouts, seedlings, flowers, and fruits. The 39 classes of No. 1 Primary School in Wuning performed as various fruits and vegetables to promote the idea of "living a frugal life, cutting down on excess and waste".
