Serviagro 2000 obtains the Agrocovid-19 certificate from Sohiscert

First Spanish horticultural plant certified against COVID-19

The company SERVIAGRO 2000, devoted to the export of organic citrus fruits, has become the first company in its sector in Spain to obtain the AgroCovid-19 certificate issued by SOHISCERT, which serves to approve the measures adopted to guarantee protection against COVID-19.

The certificate has been awarded after an external audit, which has verified that SERVIAGRO 2000 provides workers, carriers and visitors with adequate safety measures against the coronavirus.

The firm has been a specialist in the marketing of organic citrus for more than 20 years. It handles 20,000 tons per year and has more than 400 employees.

It can be identified commercially with the Vega Verde brand and its facilities have numerous certifications in the field of organic production and food safety.

The fruit and vegetable center, located in the Malaga municipality of Alhaurín de la Torre, continued its normal activity even at the peak of the pandemic. To do this, it implemented all necessary safety measures.

The certification obtained confirms SERVIAGRO 2000's commitment to guarantee the safety of its employees and prevent the spread of COVID-19 through protocols and information measures, risk prevention, protection of people, and hygiene at the facilities.

The Agro-food Protocol against COVID-19, also called AgroCovid-19, has been prepared by the certification company SOHISCERT and has made it possible to standardize the way agro-food industries have to act, following the recommendations of key national and international organizations.
