12-hole strawberry tray for a mobile tray field system

Kraege Beerenpflanzen propagates strawberry plants and has been looking for a system that can increase the number of plants per m2 and with which a qualitatively optimal plant can be produced. A tray field makes it possible to cultivate above ground, without loss of space for walkways.

A choice was made for a mobile platform, which serves as a covered work site and in which all cultivation operations are carried out. The platform moves on a rail system over the strawberry plants in 12-hole trays.

In addition, this tray field makes optimal use of the entire surface and can be automated in areas such as cutting vines and spraying.

Beekenkamp Verpakkingen has collaborated with GEGE Machinebouw and Meteor Systems BV on this new system.
