US (NY): Health officials satisfied following walk-through at greenhouse

Madison County Health Department has again performed a walk-through of the Green Empire Farms in Oneida. After two days of large scale targeted testing, it was found that 87 of their employees tested positive for COVID-19. Many of the employees that tested positive reside in local hotels.

Health Department staff, after conducting an investigation of the site, found that Green Empire Farms has many protocols in place to limit the possible spread of COVID-19. Some of those include employees taking their temperatures when they arrive to work their shift, hand sanitizer and boot sanitization stations at the entrance, spaced out working stations, limits to numbers of people on breaks and signs in the break rooms to limit how many people can be at a table at a time.

Madison County officials said the MCDOH is satisfied with the conditions at the greenhouse.
