Yuksel Seeds is a research and production seed company that is working on improving hybrid vegetable varieties, specializing in tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, melon and watermelon crops. It is a subsidiary of Yüksel Tohum and the largest Seed Company in Turkey with their own breeding program. It is also long established in Asian countries and its current goal is to expand in Europe.

New tasty tomatoes
The firm has a wide range of specialties in different segments, especially Marmandes, pink tomatoes, plum tomatoes and cherries. Yuksel is offering an extensive range of varieties in different colors: Elcoulant F1 brown, Bocamegra F1 green, Lachaman F1 red and, lastly, 24 Karat F1 gold.
This year, Yuksel has presented the CASSAROSA® brand, which features varieties such as the Leroxy F1.
In pink tomatoes sizes G-GG, Yuksel is offering Kunzita F1, which is ideal for those seeking to expand their product range in Eastern European customers. It stands out for
its good shelf life, excellent yield and homogeneous size all year round, in addition to a very good setting in early plantations.
Yuksel have introduce years ago Sacher F1, a brown tomato with an excellent balance between sugars and acids, which has become a leader in its sector not only among large companies and cooperatives in Spain, but also worldwide. The noveltie for this year is Kafetyn F1, which is quite larger and resistant to TY.
All the varieties presented are ideal for supermarkets in Spain and Europe. It is possible to grow them year-round in greenhouses, thus guaranteeing their supply. Furthermore, the demand for these tasty tomato varieties is rising in all European markets.

Varieties already recognized in Spain
The range includes Marcus F1 plum tomato with big sizes 140 grammes for domestic
market, or Carmona F1 a plum tomato for export with over 7 Brix degrees, with an attractive and homogeneous red color and excellent skin quality. These are two of its most recognized varieties today, perfectly adapted to the Spanish climatic conditions. Other noteworthy varieties are in loose tomato size GG-G Farruco F1 for late plantings, and Azarbe F1 for early transplants and short cycles.
Research Center in southwestern Almeria
Yuksel has differents trial locations with more than 8 hectares in Spain, and the main trial station placed in San Agustin- El Ejido includes hydroponic and soil production of various kinds of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and eggplants. The idea is to help growers in the management of their crops and showcase the potential of different varieties. The goals are to adapt the varieties to climatic challenges and the pressure of diseases, at the same time to produce optimizing the water footprint and the use of fertilizers, and to carry out integrated pest management in order to obtain the best quality and yield.
