The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) began the Temporary Foreign Agricultural Workers Initiative on April 21, 2020. MLTSD is conducting proactive workplace inspections focusing on workplaces that employ temporary foreign agricultural workers across Ontario. To help employers prepare for this initiative, MLTSD in partnership with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services presented a one-hour webinar.
The webinar covers:
- overview of the Temporary Foreign Agricultural Workers Initiative;
- the risks associated with COVID-19 and how to reduce the spread in the workplace;
- what to expect during an inspection for this initiative;
- and information about resources available for workplaces.
