In Jungphyong, North Korea, due to the northern oceanic climate, vegetable farming used to be practically impossible. People used to eat mostly pickled vegetables. When a military base moved away from the region, plans formed for a vegetable greenhouse. The project started in September 2018, and was ready in December 2019. The locals now enjoy fresh vegetables.
