Franky van Looveren is going to make a transfer. After having worked for thirteen years as account manager and later as sales manager for De Ruiter Seeds in the Benelux and Poland, Franky is going to start to work as cultivation manager at Tomeco, a cooperative of Belgian tomato growers.
Before it is time 'for another challenge', Franky is briefly looking back.
"In the fall of 2006 I started at De Ruiter as an account manager for Belgium. After the takeover by Monsanto (and later Bayer) I became sales manager for Benelux/Poland, a good position that I have enjoyed doing.
In my thirteen years we have successfully introduced many new varieties to the market. Varieties that are not only of added value to the grower, but also further down the chain. The construction of the new De Ruiter Experience Center was one of the many highlights of my career.
In addition, we certainly should not forget cucumber. The company has put a lot of hard work in this crop in recent years and therefore we can be very proud of the results. In the last few years we have successfully launched some new varieties that look very promising for the future.
Finally, I want to thank not only my colleagues, but also all our customers and suppliers for the great cooperation and who knows where we will meet each other in the future."
Replacement
Huib Koerts will temporarily replace Franky as Benelux sales manager. In the meantime, De Ruiter is looking for an account manager for tomato in Belgium.
