Netherlands: Kees Stijger shares geothermal heat with Tomatoworld

Good neighbors who share. With that in mind, Tomatorworld is, for its heat supply, established an arterial connection to its neighbor, tomato grower Kees Stijger, at the beginning of December, the company announced on LinkedIn.

Kees Stijger is one of the 49 companies in the Westland who purchases geothermal heat from Trias Westland. By installing a connecting pipe, the heat supply of Tomatoworld is realized with 65% geothermal heat and 35% co-generation.

By installing this connection, Tomatoworld no longer needs a gas supply.
