Mobile stick plug brings uniformity and relieves employees of strenuous and monotonous work

A mobile stick plug is the newest addition to the Flier Systems assortment. The machine, which is called MSM19, automatically places sticks in stone wool blocks.

Great tool
“For us, the mobile stick plug has become a great tool to be able to transfer heavy and monotonous work to a machine. This is a relief for employees who are therefore able to do different and more enjoyable work", according to Cock Groenendaal, General Manager at Vreugdenhil Young Plants.

Labor saving and quality improvement
The machine can be operated by 1 person and places the sticks in each stone wool block at exactly the same position and depth. The machine can do that with a capacity of 25,000 sticks per hour. This way the MSM19 saves a lot of heavy, manual work and delivers quality improvement and cost saving.

Arie van der Lugt, General Manager Production at Plantise, also recognizes these two advantages. “The use of the mobile stick plug offers several advantages to Plantise. In this way, we save on labor and improve working conditions. In addition, I see the exact positioning of the sticks as a big plus for our production. Finally, the user-friendly operation is very pleasant. We are happy with this machine."

Aligning
The video below shows that the machine automatically provides sticks to rows of twelve stone wool blocks. The mobile stick plug follows the blocks and ensures that the blocks are aligned in the correct position.

Customization

The machine has 30 preset programs that can be individually adjusted to the specific needs for all types of stone wool blocks and different inserting positions. With an offset of 50 mm, for example, the stick is placed 25 mm from the center and 25 mm from the side of the block. Blocks are also used where sticks are inserted next to the three planting holes.
