Farmersgroup has recently signed an agreement with seed company Semillas Fitò that will enable it to exclusively grow and distribute Monterosa tomatoes.
Being dynamic and innovative is essential to compete on the domestic and foreign fresh produce markets, so it is no surprise that companies are set up precisely to bring something new to the market.
"Farmersgroup is a young company, yet we boast thirty years of experience in the sector. As exclusive licencees, we are in charge of the entire organization and select the producers/packagers who want to be part of the project all over Italy," explains administrator Theo Liberi (in the photo).

"Our aim is to add value to the chain thanks to a unique commercial strategy that provides a complete service at a defined cost that transfers economic results directly to producers/packagers. Of course, some might think this is an unusual business model, but we want to introduce an innovative system to the sector."

"At the moment, we are working with around a dozen distributors in central and northern Italy. They hold an exclusive on the market of reference and we guarantee them continuous supplies and support with advertising/information material. To do this, we work with Semillas Fitò and its specialized Foodture division (www.fitofoodture.com) and have a well-devised development plan and communication strategy."
"We have envisaged a direct approach with retailers in 2020 and have already started talking to them to define a dedicated packaging for the 'Monterosa Collection', which will include four different colors (see photo above) perfect for salads and creative cuisine, without forgetting the benefits conveyed by the different vitamins connected with the various colors."
