Performing service works at six meter height

Standing on a 6 meter high platform you don't want any doubt regarding the machines you work with. The team with FPHU Maryniaczyk knows this and that's why their Hortitech trolley is in use by growers all over the world. Recent updates improve the safety and user friendliness of the trolley. "With greenhouses getting higher and higher, proper, safe and durable service equipment is of great importance", they explain.

The Hortitech trolley was designed especially for service works in tall greenhouses. "In this trolley we used high-tech driving and hydraulics propulsion of prestigious quality", Karol Korzeniewski with FPHU Maryniaczyk explains. "The machine is equipped with hydraulic cylinders that lift the working platform to a height of 6 meter. In order to keep safety at the top of the priority list, we've included a system of four manually retractable stabilizers, necessary when working at this height."

Ever since its introduction, the machine has been shipped to growers all over the world. Now it's time for a series of modifications, improving functionality and lifespan of the applied parts whilst keeping safety top priority. Karol presents to us the Hortitech 2HD!

"Our hydraulic trolleys now are equipped with new control buttons and switches made of steel applied", he shows. "The added Turbo Button will allow the user to increase the travel speed up to 105m/minute."

Regarding safety, extra sensors are added. For example a tilt sensor will inform a user whenever the trolley is losing stability or is deviating from the levelled position. In addition a valve enabling adjusting the lowering speed of the platform is added.

New sound and light systems on the control panels inform the user about incorrect use of the trolley. "Whenever some action is prohibited, the trolley will issue a beeping sound and light signal, indicating error."

Also regarding comfort of use updates have been followed through. For example the rubber supports on scissors will prevent damage to the paint cover and a silent hydraulic power pack reducing the noise output is integrated. A new, advanced charger allows the monitoring of the charging method.

Of value to growers in terms of ROI are the new included, maintenance-free, gel batteries and, both resistant to water, dust and shocks, the new contactless potentiometer and the inductive foot switch. "The overall waterproofness of the trolley is upgraded", Karol summarises. "The model is more robust and more durable. With clients all over the world, we want to make sure the user-friendliness of the machine is high and the need for maintenance is low, making it a robust and durable solution to growers wherever."
