A greenhouse complex for growing vegetables is being constructed in the Turovo village of the Serpuhov area in the Moscow region.

“Supplies from the Netherlands have begun for the greenhouse complex Turovskiy, which will have an overall acreage of 11 ha. The growers are aiming at growing tomatoes and greenery there. Greenhouse assembly will begin in the coming days. The glazing works are planned to be completed in May-June”, announced the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region, Mr. Andrey Razin.

According to the Minister, the investment project also presupposes the creation of the sorting and packing zones for further produce loading in the service zone.

“The production volume will comprise over eight million tons of tomatoes per year once full capacity is reached. The investments exceed 48 million euros”, noted Mr. Razin.

The project is carried out in two phases. Currently the foundations for the seedling greenhouse and the boiler house have been constructed, all heating mains have been installed and the gas line connected. The service zone and road to the greenhouse have been constructed too.

“The first greenhouse, with an acreage of six hectares, will provide tomato crops in November of the current year. The construction of the second phase of five hectares will be completed in November 2019”, mentioned Mr. Razin.
