Beefsteak tomatoes continue to be the most expensive at auction

Every week, areas of traditional production will be added now. In the coming week, we mostly expect more light, which can only benefit our tomatoes. A rising supply results in prices dropping. Beefsteak tomatoes continue to be the most expensive variety at auction.

Better spring weather will stimulate growth, but also the use of courgettes. Prices will be friendlier for consumers. The situation remains unchanged for butterhead lettuce. In the meantime, supply increases very calmly, for the lollos, oak leaf and multi-colour as well. The production of green bell pepper is reaching high volumes, while the production of yellow, red and orange is more gradual. Prices of green dropped compared to a few weeks ago. Leek prices are stable.

Cucumbers experienced major price fluctuations in the past week. Prices dropped again at the end of last week. The sunshine stimulates growth, and large volumes are being sold at auction. Limited availability of chicory is sold for dropping prices. The production of aubergines is increasing. A period with a lot of light will continues to stimulate growth. The supply of lamb’s lettuce is large and prices are friendly for consumers. The available numbers of savoy continue to drop. Red and white are still expensive.
