New this year, United Fresh said it will honor five individuals for their outstanding work in sharing their expertise in different areas serving the produce industry. The honorees will be recognized from at the United Fresh Convention & Expo June 10-12 in Chicago.
Awards will be presented in areas represented by United Fresh Expert Advisory Councils:

* Food Safety & Technology
* Government Relations
* Produce Marketing & Merchandising
* Supply Chain Logistics
“Thousands of individuals work hard every day to ensure the success of their companies and the broader produce industry,” said Tom Stenzel, President & CEO of United Fresh Produce Association. “This program will allow us to shine a spotlight on individuals who have made a strong impact in critical areas for our industry.
“We’re excited to launch this new awards program to honor outstanding individuals across the produce industry,” said Cindy Jewell, Vice President of Marketing, California Giant Berry Farms and Chair of the Board, of Directors, United Fresh Produce Association. “I’m excited to gather with our industry this June to celebrate our honorees’ achievements, as well as all of the individuals and companies striving for excellence in the produce industry.”
Nominations are being accepted through Tuesday April 9, 2019. To nominate an individual for any one of these honors, visit www.unitedfreshshow.org. The 2019 winners will be honored from the Main Stage on the United Fresh trade show floor on Tuesday, June 11 at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.
