Soft fruit now second largest product group of Nature's Pride

New EAT ME strawberry punnets

Nature’s Pride is known for their ready to eat fruits and their wide assortment of unique fruits and vegetables. However, it is notable that in the soft fruit category of Nature’s Pride has by now grown to become their second largest product group. But what is the reason for this categories growth spurt?

”We are dedicated to supply the tastiest berries of the highest quality every day. Over the years we have developed many sustainable partnerships with growers worldwide and have developed an efficient supply chain. This allows us to supply the tastiest varieties and best quality of berries available. That is what we are all about. We always focus on quality, taste, and freshness”, says Michael Agaard.

“Besides offering stable sourcing, we also provide our costumers with tailor-made marketing solutions. We provide assortment advice and communication materials based upon our insights in diverse European countries and own market research. A shining example of this is ‘the tastiest berries’ EAT ME campaign, that we have executed for one of our customers. By the means of diverse P.O.S. materials and placements in retail magazine, the shopper got inspired and convinced to purchase the product.”

New EAT ME strawberry punnets
The importer keeps on expanding the packaging line of their soft fruits and making it more sustainable. In week 14 Nature’s Pride starts implementing the new EAT ME strawberry punnets. Due to the EAT ME branding consumers will place even more trust in the quality of the product and will be inspired to consume even more strawberries. The punnets will also have ventilated bottoms which optimizes the moisture drainage and the airflow circulation which is beneficial to the products quality. The new punnet is another step in the right direction in accordance with Nature’s Pride recently launched sustainability plan for 2023, of which the packaging policy is an important part. The transition from plastic to cardboard allows the company to save over 80,000 kilograms of plastic during the Dutch strawberry season.
