US: Farm Bureau appoints Heather Gieseke as Managing Director of Business Development

The American Farm Bureau Federation recently announced Heather Gieseke as managing director, business development. In this role, Gieseke is responsible for establishing and building industry partnerships with agriculture companies and associations, leading the IDEAg sales and marketing teams, and building industry recognition of the various programs and brands brought forth by AFBF.

Gieseke joins IDEAg with an extensive background in agribusiness sales, leadership, marketing and customer relationship management – most recently with the Meredith Corporation. This new position will enable Farm Bureau to focus on building and expanding strategic connections between member families, industry partners and AFBF and will allow Farm Bureau to continue to sustain its efforts as the Voice of Agriculture across the United States.

“Heather’s career experiences and business goals are strategically aligned to expand existing and establish new partnerships that support the future of Farm Bureau and IDEAg,” said Melissa Sanders Carroll, executive director, business operations and revenue development. “Her team sits at the crossroads of agriculture – where our membership and attendees intersect with agri-business and Farm Bureau – engaging the industry through events, programs and initiatives.”
