About 13 million euros have been invested in the construction of a greenhouse for growing strawberries in Elektrostal, reported the deputy general director of the Victoria Estate group of companies, Mr. Vahtang Sagareyshvilli.
The corresponding agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region was signed at the agricultural exhibition Golden Autumn in Moscow.
“One of our companies has signed the agreement with the Minister on the development of the investment project for strawberry cultivation. In 2019 the planning stage will begin, by 2020 we are hoping to achieve the planned production capacity”, announced Mr. Sagareyshvilli.
He also added that the greenhouse complex would be located on an area of 10 ha in Elekrotstal.
The representative of the greenhouse complex intimated that the amount of crops harvested would depend on the production technology chosen by the enterprise: Japanese, Korean or Italian.
