Nursery Osdorp was founded in 2009 by Jeroen Rijpkema and Jeroen Klaassen. The core business of the nursery is to provide meaningful activities to about 250 people, including (former) drug addicts, people with mental illness and those who benefit from a structured daily schedule. During the day they are involved in the growing and harvesting of vegetables for the mainstream market. Being involved in horticulture and its various activities, according to studies, can be very soothing and productive for people. As of Friday, April 18th, the products of Osdorp are also available at Vroegop-Windig.
