Art project Mutatoes:

The prettiest ugly vegetables

Hunchback tomatoes, eggplants with a big nose and elephant mushrooms; they're rejected in supermarkets, but that gives an unrealistic picture of vegetables, says Uli Westphal. De German photographer took pictures of these deformed vegetables and named his collection 'Mutatoes'. Hereby he wants to show the diversity of fruit shapes.

With some imagination you can see a squid in the lemon and the mushroom looks like a drinking elephant. Click here to watch the complete collection.

Beside this collection, Uli Westphal focusses in his Lycopersicum collection specifically on tomatoes.
