October 11-12, Rochester
US (NY): Sustainability symposium to focus on biological products
The Biological Products Industry Alliance (BPIA) will hold its 2018 Fall Meeting and Sustainability Symposium in Rochester, New York on October 9-10 and be immediately followed by the Biocontrols USA East 2018 Conference & Expo on October 11-12 which is organized to educate growers about biological products including biopesticides and biostimulants.
According to BPIA Executive Director Keith Jones, “Our symposium will update attendees on the latest developments and trends in biological technology, regulatory issues, and related matters from both the perspective of manufacturers and users of biological products.”
Symposium topics will include: The Future of Biological Products in Sustainable Agriculture, the Status of Biostimulants Around the World, the Role of Biological Products in the Food Value Chain, and How and Why Growers are Using Biological Products.
Several of the approximately twenty industry thought-leaders who will be speaking include: Kristen Sukalac, a Consulting Partner at management consultancy Prospero & Partners which serves as the secretariat of the European Biostimulants Industry Council, and Dr. Clint Nesbitt, the Director of Regulatory Affairs in the Food and Agriculture Section of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) which is the world's largest trade association representing more than 950 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and state biotechnology centers.
