The Strawberry Demo Day was organised at the strawberry cultivation company of Peter Lemmen and Liesbeth Beijen in Egchel, Limburg this year. Because of the good weather, more than 300 visitors attended, where 55 companies participated in the info market, the innovation square, and demonstrations.
In the past years there is an increasing shift from the open ground to covered cultivation and greenhouse cultivation of strawberries. The substrates, tunnels, and cultivation systems and cultivation containers were abundantly represented. Everything could be found for a healthy substrate, good starter material, and lots of knowledge was shared. Clean water and clean soil was the focal point to this day.
The first responses from the companies and visitors were positive. ZLTO, as an organization, is looking back at a successful day.
