Germany: Horticoop launches new machine at IPM Essen
The Eco Climate Converter (ECC) is a dehumidification machine that also reuses the latent heat by bringing this back to the greenhouse. By using the ECC the grower is able to save a lot on energy by keeping the ventilation windows closed. Another advantage is that the CO2 level will be maintained in the greenhouse. Due to the usage of a salt solution the ECC also has a disinfecting effect on the air in the greenhouse. Diseases like Botrytis and Mildew will have less chance.
