Floating sun park NEXTGarden Lingewaard is getting ready

In the recent weeks Van Dalen has executed various operations for the sun park in horticultural area NEXTGarden Lingewaard. Placing the last element completed the retaining wall for the transformer space. The embankment around the basin has been refilled and has been repaired. The concrete foundation for the transformer has been poured. The transformer is ready and will be installed on April 24.

The French producer of the floaters, Ciel et Terre, also takes care of the anchoring of the floating sun park. For this purpose ground anchors are drilled into the shore around the water. With the aid of simulation models they have calculated the load on the anchors under extreme weather conditions (wind force 10) for our location.

They have installed a test anchor on location which was loaded to the maximum pull-out force. The empirical determined pull-out force was more than sufficient to absorb the maximum occurring anchor forces later on. Installing the anchor was more difficult than expected: they had clearly not expected the Betuwe clay soil. On April 9 they started fixing the definitive positions of the ground anchors using GPS measuring equipment. The anchors were drilled into the shore on Tuesday April 10.
