Asaja-Huelva highlights that "the lack of manpower is a problem that entrepreneurs have to face every year as a result of the transfer of Spanish and EU workers to other economic sectors due to Spain's economic recovery," point out sources from the agrarian organization.
This, together with last year's difficulties to hire foreign workers from Morocco (only about 60% of the requests made by employers could be met), has motivated the agrarian organization to start the necessary procedures with the Andalusian Employment Service and the Ministry of Labour as soon as possible. The goal is to be able to carry out an exhaustive selection of workers in Morocco, where a coordination and organization meeting will be held in late 2017 or early 2018.
Asaja-Huelva pointed out that they will promptly inform their members of the progress made both in this meeting and in the selection process, for which the official permission of the authorities is essential.
