Everything up and running at Meteor Systems after move
Frank Bastiaansen of Meteor Systems looks back on a good and eventful year. Good, because demand for Meteor Systems products is increasing. And eventful because a move is quite an undertaking, of course. The new office has been in use for a year now. Last year in October, the production was moved from Etten-Leur to Breda (both in the Netherlands) within two weeks. Machines, parts, storage and materials were transferred to the new building. In April of this year, the production in Duiven moved to Breda as well.
Now everything's up and running. Before the end of the year, the finishing touches will be applied. In order to better accommodate internal logistics, machines inside the building are moved, streamlining and further optimizing the entire production, for increased efficiency.
The Meteor Systems location in Breda is equipped to produce large volumes. Elsewhere, the smaller batches are produced, under the supervision of the Meteor Systems team. The whole operation provides a lot of jobs for the area. While new staff have already been hired, there are still vacancies for technicians. People are still being hired for extruding hoses and injection molding.
Meteor Systems operates in innovating in development, production and supply of complete cultivation gutter, moveable cultivation, irrigation, fruit cover and support systems for Dutch and international greenhouse horticulture.
Official opening of the new building by mayor Depla of Breda
The entrepreneurs receive praise
