Designing an optimal greenhouse climate

Late last week representatives from Horconex and KE GrowAir visited several greenhouse growers who are opting for a semi closed greenhouse in the south of France. Due to the close collaboration on the grower’s location and the expertise every participant brings in, a well-thought-out and embraced design appears for the ultimate goal: An optimal homogenous greenhouse climate for optimal production.

“The one thing our customer wants is an optimal greenhouse climate for optimal produce. If you want to achieve this you have to collaborate” according to Albert Haket, Sales Director at Horconex, a greenhouse manufacturer and strongly rooted in France and Switzerland for 30 years. As a greenhouse manufacturer we create one of the essential elements for making a good greenhouse climate: the greenhouse. But, without a proper system for a homogenous air distribution the grower still cannot make optimal conditions for optimal production. Having an optimal producing semi closed greenhouse or not it all depends on this small part of the total technical installation (and budget). Enough reasons to go out to the grower and create the ultimate design together. Unfortunately we hear all too often in conversations about expansions or modernizations of (semi closed) greenhouses much is spoken about budget and greenhouse but not about how the greenhouse climate will be created and what this ultimately will bring the grower.

Complementary knowledge and expertise
"Our specific knowledge and expertise about air distribution is complementary to the knowledge and expertise of greenhouse manufacturers. Complementing each other on the right points makes every cooperation strong and the chance of success is the greatest” according Gerjo de Zeeuw, Managing Director of KE GrowAir. Each from their own expertise working together to build a homogenous greenhouse climate for optimal production for each grower is always a unique challenge.

Visiting satisfied growers
The growers Olivier Herranz and Cedric Meurs are the current interested growers and can tell from my own experience what a greenhouse of Horconex and GrowAir air distribution has brought. An optimal greenhouse climate for optimal production.
