Switzerland: Organic peppers, radishes and lettuce on 25,357 m²

The new greenhouse for Christian Gerber was sold via Gysi Berglas AG. The company wants to grow organic vegetables, peppers, radishes and various types of lettuce. The greenhouse has a surface area of 25,357 m², with an 8 meter Venlo greenhouse with 5 meter sections and a post height ranging from 5.15 meters to 5.85 meters.

The greenhouse has 9 compartments, a boiler house and a water technical facility. Clear tempered glass was chosen for the greenhouse roof and white colored tempered glass for the boiler room. Macrolux 16 mm polycarbonate sheeting was chosen for the gables and sidewalls and float glass for the interior walls.

Foundation works on the greenhouse began on May 10th; however, there has been nothing but rain from the moment this was started. Despite the hard circumstances, Van der Hoeven will again succeed to deliver the greenhouse in time.
