Hoogstraten introduces Kubello Oven&Grill:
Belgium: “Tomatoes on the vine make for festive presentation”
Especially for the holidays, Coöperatie Hoogstraten introduces a new concept for in the oven: Kubello Oven&Grill. “The Kubello is a bell pepper-vine tomato, and looks tough. This tomato has an ideal sour-sweet ratio, making Kubello a product that lends itself to almost anything: in salads, as a snack, filled as an appetiser, and now from the oven as well!”
Festive
Natalie Snijers from Coöperatie Hoogstraten indicates that they developed this concept because of increasing interest from the market. “In any case, for Christmas and other holidays it is very festive to present tomatoes from the oven with the stem still attached. We make it even easier for our customers by offering a complete package, including olive oil and rosemary. They are now available in eps-T or punnet, 6 by 350 grammes. A free sample of the package can now be requested from Hoogstraten.”
Snijers says Hoogstraten is offering an even wider selection of tomatoes this winter. “The illuminated cultivation has increased again, and our buyers therefore have an increasing choice of tomatoes.”
