Mark Waltham, Chief Executive Officer, Certis Europe, was announced as winner of the award for Best Manager with strategic vision at the ceremony for the Agrow Awards 2016 in London last month. In his absence, the award was collected by Steve Kirby, Strategic Marketing Manager.
Waltham was nominated for the achievement of a major strategic goal enabling the extension of Certis Europe’s market presence through the creation of a Joint Venture with long-term partner, K&N Efthymiadis, based in Greece. At the same time Waltham has introduced changes to internal structure in Certis Europe to provide renewed focus on major crop groups.
The JV will provide potential access to more of the European market, operating in Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, all countries of the former Yugoslavia, Albania and Cyprus. It aims to focus on developing its joint portfolio in vegetable and fruit crops in the region and will be working to deliver innovative solutions for growers in South Eastern Europe.
The new Certis Europe portfolio structure provides dedicated European teams for key crop sectors of arable, seed treatment, potatoes, biorationals, trees and vines and CleanStart soil disinfection.
