Substrate manufacturer Peltracom changes name to Greenyard Horticulture Belgium

Since 2015 Peltracom NV - along with UNIVEG, Pinguin and Noliko – has been Greenyard. The Greenyard activities can be divided into four divisions: Fresh, Frozen, Prepared and Horticulture. Peltracom NV is the Horticulture Division of Greenyard. The new name of this company is therefore: Greenyard Horticulture Belgium NV. This change took effect on September 1, 2016.

The Horticulture Division is the smallest of the four divisions, but has been producing growing media for plants, fruit and vegetables, ground cover plants and soil improvers for more than 30 years. There is a wide range of products for both professional growers (under the name Peltracom) and home gardeners (Agrofino).

The Horticulture division has more than 3,000 hectares of peat fields, 9 production sites and an annual production of more than 1,5 million m3. Horticulture exports to 54 countries. The name change is supposed to emphasize Horticulture’s focus on sustainable synergy for the entire group and the consumer market. Stefaan Vandaele, Managing Director of the Horticulture Division: "We help Greenyard strongly differentiate itself as a quality conscious supplier that creates sustainable added value for everyone ‘from field to fork’."
