US (WV): Greenhouse goes up at Wyoming County Career Center

A new greenhouse at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center is the first step to an agricultural program, according to CTC Director Sheila Mann.

Plans for the greenhouse started three years ago with a search for funding to build it.

“Dvon Duncan of Mountain R C and D helped us get two grants,” Mann said. “And then we got a third one.”

With the grants and additional funds contributed by the CTC, the cost of putting up the greenhouse was about $17,200.

The structure went up last week, and the interior will be completed “as we can,” Mann noted.
