Following an announcement in the newsletter of Cumela (Dutch trade association of agricultural contractor workers) many responses were received for participation in the development of a mobile water treatment installation for greenhouses.
The project has now been initiated. Marel Loonwerk and Scholtes Loonbedrijf, both from the Westland region, will be designing, building and testing a mobile treatment installation in collaboration with Xylem Water Solutions, besides a trajectory started with Agrozone and Van Eck Bedrijfshygiëne.
At the end of 2016 two mobile installations should be available to rid greenhouse drain water of plant protection products. The project includes the development of a universal connector for mobile treatment installations to growers' water systems.
