European Cold Chain Conference sets sights on world

The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) will host the 19th European Cold Chain Conference in Amsterdam, 6-8 March 2016, at the Amsterdam Marriott.

The organisation represents the entire cold supply chain, where all of the major players are brought together on one platform so they can network and generate new opportunities. Over 100 high level professionals representing the temperature controlled supply chain industry, including cold storage, transportation, logistics, distribution and construction are expected to attend.

The key purpose of the event is to share knowledge, through presentations and interactive educational sessions, provide the opportunity to network with other professionals within the industry, and to explore the latest technologies, solutions, products and services available to the temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics industry.

“We are an organization which has developed into all of the continents of the world, we have members in Europe, Asia and are currently developing in Africa. We are present in Latin America as well, so we are truly a global alliance. The idea with the European conference is to make it a truly international event, Europe has a great connection with other continents such as Asia and Africa, so we think that this is the right location to attract the international crowd. At this stage it is building up, so most of our participants will be European, however, we will have a few non-European delegates as well.” according to Julie Hanson, Director of the European Division for the GCCA.
