Netherlands: Solar panels for Royal Pride
Solar energy company PakDeZon recently installed 1512 solar panels at Royal Pride in Middenmeer. The 400 kWp system features Axitec poly panels with integrated SolarEdge optimizers. The PV-system will deliver approximately 413 mWh yearly.
Royal Pride is located in greenhouse area Agriport A7 in Middenmeer. The tomato grower naturally uses a lot of power and therefore it is interesting for the company to generate its own solar power. By comparison, the 400 kWp installation meets the annual energy needs of about 120 households.
The 265 watt peak Axitec solar panels come with integrated SolarEdge optimizers, allowing each panel to operate independently. The overall south/south-east oriented system is equipped with 12 SolarEdge inverters of 27.6 Kw.
Mounting system 'Valk Pro’ was chosen to work on the project. This mounting system is specially designed for flat roofs with careful attention to roof and wind loads. "It’s also nice that the system is applicable on high roofs and is very user-friendly in assembly," says Arjan Ottenbros of PakDeZon, who coordinated the project from the beginning.
In recent weeks PakDeZon worked on the gigantic solar park with several fellow installers. A tower crane with an outreach of 50 meters was used to lift all mounting materials, ballast tiles and solar panels to the roof.
