Chemical applications against whitefly. What's available?

If you want to get rid of whitefly during the crop change, it is normally sufficient to completely remove all of the green plant parts such as plant residues and weeds, and then take three weeks to clean up the greenhouse. However, nowadays one or two weeks are more realistic than three, as most growers want to start with a new crop as soon as possible. The occasional remaining amounts of whitefly must therefore be taken into account.

To still clear out adult whiteflies as much as possible at the end of cultivation, Dutch growers have the option to use Decis EC and/or Carex can still be used in the last one to three weeks.

Other particularly effective solutions against the larvae are Calypso, Plenum, Admiral, and/or Oberon, but only by means of spraying (so no other method of application).
