This presentation system includes a special frame that is placed under the fruits and vegetables, which raises the products higher, "This makes the fresh produce always visible and the crates are always full. This saves time, money and products. A special roll-on system prevents the products from sliding," says Jurgen. This creates an organized looking presentation, making it an affordable alternative to collapsible crates.
SPAR Austria tested this system for a year in Waidhofer, Hinterbrühl and Bregenz, Austria. The tests have shown that with this system at least 18% of the product is saved, per vegetable crate. Based on these results, the retailer has decided to equip all 800 Austrian SPAR locations with the Eye-Catcher system. The switch to the new Eye-Catcher system will begin at the end of April.
