Hortilux Schréder and B&W Installaties combine forces

Hortilux, leading developer and manufacturer of grow-light fixtures, and B&W, a specialist in engineering and installation of grow-light systems, are to combine their activities. The result will be a new company that is a strong specialist in the field of grow-light solutions and systems. The two companies already worked together closely behind the scenes over the last years. The new company will retain the name Hortilux.

Over the last few years Hortilux has been successfully focusing on expanding its range of products and services. ‘For quite some time now we have been aware that our customers need a real specialist when it comes to grow light. A specialist who provides grow-light solutions rather than just individual products. The added value comes from the complete package, from engineering to delivery, along with services and maintenance,’ says Ronald Monster, managing director of Hortilux.

‘One specialist, one point of contact’

Often Hortilux customers have already had dealings with B&W Installaties' engineers or fitters. ‘But they still had to deal with two companies, each with its own processes, procedures and conditions. Which is not an ideal situation for a customer. The merging of activities will mean that customers have one specialist and one contact point for the entire grow-light system.’

Integrated solutions

The merging of the activities is in line with our corporate strategy of being a ‘system integrator’, of providing integrated grow-light solutions and systems. The two companies will be merged over the next months, with the target date for the full integration of all the corporate activities being 1 January 2016.
