JYT has invested in a 50 MW long-distance solar PV greenhouse project in Ningxia that is expected to be completed by January 2016. The project, which costs RMB 420m, will produce 74.2m kWh of electricity annually, according to a report from Smart Agriculture Analytics.
The project is located in the Tengger Desert near the city of Zhongwei. With 8 PV greenhouses, the project occupies an area of roughly 2,000 mu.
For its greenhouse projects, JYT applied Huawei’s intelligent PV power plant solutions adapted to Ningxia’s high temperature and humidity. As one of the first companies in China to be involved in the PV device manufacturing business, JYT already has 13 years of experience, with 3 photovoltaic power plants already connected to the national grid.
